The idea
Could a finished, watchable commercial be produced without a camera, a crew, or a shoot budget, using only generative AI?
This was my answer. Take an ad from concept to final cut entirely through AI tooling, and learn where the technology shines and where it still fights you.
The approach
I treated it like a real creative brief, not a tech demo. Start from the concept and the story beats, then direct a generative pipeline built around AnimateDiff to produce the motion.
The craft is in the direction. Prompts that hold a consistent look across shots, controlling motion so it reads as intentional, and cutting the generated material into something with pacing and a payoff.
The model makes frames. The product and creative decisions make it an ad.
The result
A complete, fully AI produced commercial, shown here, made with no live footage.
Beyond the clip, it gave me a working understanding of the generative video stack and a repeatable sense of how to take AI creative from a rough idea to something a brand would actually run.
